Located in the heart of South Belfast, Ormeau Road Library has been serving the local community since 1912 and remains one of the city's most distinctive Carnegie libraries.
Built through funding provided by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, the library is a fine example of early twentieth-century civic architecture and continues to be an important hub for learning, culture and community activity.
Alongside its extensive collection of books and resources, Ormeau Road Library regularly hosts exhibitions, talks, workshops and cultural events, welcoming visitors of all ages from across Belfast and beyond.
During Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the library provides a welcoming space to explore the connections between literature, history, language and the rich cultural traditions celebrated throughout the festival.
A historic community library where learning, culture and local heritage come together.
